On 24 June 2022, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province issued a "Notice on the Announcement of Shandong Province's 'Specialised, Specialised and New' Small and Medium-sized Enterprises for the Year 2022".

The selection of Specialised, Specialised and New SMEs in Shandong Province is to select a group of enterprises focusing on niche markets, with strong innovation capability, high market share, mastery of key core technologies, and excellent quality and efficiency, with the aim of guiding SMEs to follow the development path of specialisation, refinement, characterisation and novelty, and promoting the transformation and upgrading of SMEs and high-quality development.
